To die for!

I adore this kitchen! All in white and so huge!
All my pots and pans could be stored!
The Eames chairs.... oooohh, so awesome! The stucco work - I am wordless!
The blackish floor combined with the white of the cupboards -  fantastic! I also love the window.
It is the eye to the outside - it is as if nature is part of the room.

To put it short: Isn't this kitchen to die for?

Enjoy your Thursday!

Vivienne Westwood or Coco Chanel?

I've had this picture in my file for a long time. I had planned to create something similar for my bedroom.  But time has passed and nothing has happened in this respect so far... LAZY ME! Maybe showing it to you makes me move on with my plans. I am sure I would enjoy it to the fullest: Drawing, choosing the fabric, cutting, glueing and compile it to an image. In the end I would think that I am Vivienne Westwood or Coco Chanel... hehehe... the thought is irresistible...

I'll see... I'll keep you posted anyway!

Meanwhile - have a peaceful day!

Get up early for my dear boys!

The neighborhood is still asleep

Last Tuesday I roasted vegetarian schnitzels...

My two sons never come home for lunch (many kids return from school to eat at home). They refuse eating breakfast and they also refuse eating at the school's cafeteria. In other words they need a big snack as well as lunch. So what does their mother do? She gets up when it is still dark outside and COOKS!  I roast escalopes, hamburgers, cook pasta or rice, prepare salads, bake cheese or fruit cakes, cut veggies and fruits etc. etc. I often stand in the kitchen asking myself why I spoil them so much but then I like the quiet mornings in the kitchen with the radio on, sipping at my coffee... well, you know  the things only mothers do...

Every Tuesday I prepare sandwiches which goes quick and easy. Sometimes I need ideas how to layer the bread and here I found some. If you have more suggestions - I would be grateful for further recipes!

See you later alligator! Have a wonderful day!

Still tired!

I am still tired - got up at 6 am this morning my body thought it was 5 am. I had slept like a log and could hardly keep my eyes open. I envy the person sleeping in the bed on the picture above! Well, tomorrow I will have overcome my crisis...

Hope at least you are awake and alert and will participate in my giveaway!

Bye for now

Summertime!

Last night we put the clocks one hour back. Thinking that it will be light till late in the evening is something I really look forward to. BUT at the moment I am just tired. Instead of jogging at 8.30 am we were starting off at 7.30 am (at least that is what my internal clock said...). I will definitely have a nap this afternoon.

YOU made me happy today because YOU visited my blog! THANK YOU!

Is it a dream or reality?

This house looks unreal to me. Like in a fairy tale - existing just in the head. The pictures are blurred and  the grey makes the atmosphere mystical.
I think it is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs who leave here...

Wishing you a day full of wonderful dreams!

Don't miss it!

I discovered these pictures here. Go and browse around. It's amazing what you'll see. Maybe something for tonight after a long week - you'll get lost and dive into a world of colors and inspiration.

By the way: Yes, weekend!

In the office!

Today I'll be in the office. Unfortunately my working place doesn't look as creative as the one on the picture. Only computers, files, paper. I would love to make pottery, paint or draw.

At least today the sun shines brightly and the temperatures are very pleasing -
so not really anything to complain about!

Nice of you to visit my blog - hope to see tomorrow!

Till then...

Rainbow House in London

From the architect, Ab Rogers Design:
“The Rain bow House is a magical oasis on a busy road filed with peo ple and noise. When you step through its front door, you enter a parallel universe of fun, colour, movement and sensuality, leaving the ordinary world far behind.
The house is a living art work in which every corner offers a unique and magical discovery. In the mas ter bedroom, a circular bed rotates into position so you can look out any window. A trap door in the floor pops open to reveal a slide that zips you down to the living room below, where an oversized sofa creates a 12 x 8 metre soft piazza for playing, sleeping and living.
These surprising and disparate elements unite into one com position around a central spiral staircase. This bespoke fibreglass and steel fabrication passes through the full spectrum of the rainbow as it rises through the house. At each storey, its hue spreads out and influences the colour of that floor, creating a visual rhythm on a vertical axis. Sun pours down through sky lights at the very top of the house, drenching the staircase in light and bringing it to life."
Look around: Rainbow House.

I am sure you will have fun!

Kitchen trays

Yesterday I had time to re-arrange my kitchen trays. Doesn't it look funny how they are waiting patiently for someone to take them out and carry a glass, a cup, a plate or whatever on them? Whatever is served  it always appears to be festive on a silver tray!
That's what I like about simple things: You can make daily life grand with no effort.

Have a lovely Tuesday! Here the sun is shining and the sky is blue! How fantastic is that?

Jepee it's spring!

Finally: Spring is here! I am looking forward to longer days, warmer temperatures, days and nights outside and most of all to the various colors and scents of flowers, the green of the trees, the fresh vegetables and fruits, the laughter of the children playing outside, the lighter clothes and... and...

What a great time ahead of us! Let's be grateful for every minute!

Sunday lunches

I love to go out on Sunday at noon to have lunch in a nice restaurant and then stay there eat and talk till late in the afternoon. I have discovered these pictures in the web and it made me want to have a Sunday roast somewhere. Unfortunately our plans are different today... no roast in sight... Still there are many Sundays to come and in compensation I will look at the animating atmosphere on these images. By the way the restaurant is called Sitka and Spruce and it is located in Seattle, WA. I recommend to click on the link to study their menu card and wines or just enjoy the pictures.

I hope you have a soulwarming menu today -
please do not forget to think of me! Thank you!

Present from Paul!

Paul bought me these beautiful large orchids in WHITE! I told you I've got the best hubby in the world...
They are now in the bedroom and I'll have to find suitable flower pots. I like these with little feet on them - but where to find? Till this puzzle is solved they are wrapped with paper, which I find pretty too.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Lovely window!

When strolling along Kurfürstendamm last Saturday I was attracted by this window. I thought that you might like it as well. I love the various shades of pink combined with the apple green - it spreads spring feelings. This morning it is cold here and I heard that it was snowing in the mountains. So this kind of pictures are warming up the heart and soul.

Happy day everyone! See you later!
