Yesterday evening I decorated some oranges with cloves. It reminds me of my childhood when the mixture of orange and cloves was everywhere in the house. But it is not only that - I think they also look pretty and a little bit old-fashioned.

Wishing you a nice day - it is the last day of November which is incredible and exciting!

Big hugs,

Christmas decos

I love these pictures... I love wreaths hung over mirrors and windows and I definitely love that advent calendar hung over the window - a gorgeous idea!

I hope you are all doing well - keep your eyes open for the little things!

He is the best...

I do not mean Michael Bublé - I mean hubby! He read about the new CD of Michael Bublé and as he knows how much I love Christmas music he rushed to the shop and came back with it! I listened to it nearly all Sunday long. It adds to that special atmosphere. Listen to the You Tube sample and get carried away into X-mas wonderland as well!

Thanks for being here!

Five hotties...

I am terribly sorry to post these pictures. They are blurred and one doesn't really see much. We had a long meeting at work yesterday and when I got home it was dark already. I had no idea what I was going to post today. When I past  the hairdresser in my neighborhood I saw these angels and I knew that they were the ones I want to show you today. I hope you like them...

However, today I am off for coffee with hubby and do some shopping for my staircase decoration, then I have to go to the gym and at the end of the day we will be traveling to Lucerne for a nice evening with friends.

When I look at my calender I see that tomorrow is the first advent and therefore I better get busy!

Ready for the staircase...

The lights reflecting in the living room window

We live in a five-storey house. Our neighbors are beautiful but I dare say not very creative... Luckily! They appreciate me arranging the garden and flowers and decorating the staircase. For this advent season I have prepared this wreath with little lights. I may add some white clay stars later depending on my mood. I'll hang it up on December 1st sometime during the night. So when people go out to work in the morning they will be surprised. I'll make some photographs when it has definitely found it's place. Till then it brings us pre-Christmas feelings into the entry.

In the meantime Christmas preparations go on! Secretly!

I have got a fever...

Since yesterday I have Christmas flue. It lasts till end of December and it stops the way it started: All of a sudden! Today over lunchtime I was so feverish that I redecorated the pillowcases of our bedroom and I think they came out quite pretty.

I do not want to recover till the beginning of January!

Lets get started...

I just returned home from a walk through the old town of Berne.
The atmosphere is really Christmassy so I I think I should get started as well.

I hope you are having a cozy evening whereever you are!

A lovely and very dear present

Many years ago I received these two figures from Paul. He had created them himself. They enchanted me so much then and they still do until this day. Look at all the details: The lovely collar and and the little dress with the trendy dots, the little ballerina shoes of the bubbly girl, the checked shorts, the red sweatervest with the checkerboard pattern, the belt and the brown shoes with the funny shoestrings of
the self-confident, sporty boy. I dare say in a way they resemble Paul and me...

They hang inside my wardrobe very patiently since years
and say hello and smile each time I open the door.

Certainly their smile will make you smiling for a moment as well!

A country farmhouse

I guess you know lovely Trina with her family and her fantastic blog "A country farmhouse". I have her on my "lovely blog" list. Her house was featured in the current US issue of Country Living. When I look at these photographs I get absolutely excited and inspired.

I hope this dose of animation helps you through the day!
