I am ready for another holiday

It's a too long story to tell you how I found out that a neighbor of ours rents out 150 holidays apartments in Apulia, Italy. However, he gave me his business card and said that there are apartments and houses from simple to very elegant and sophisticated.

Well, yesterday I checked out his website and one of the houses is Casa Bellavista in Santa Maria de Leuca  which you see photographed above. But there are many more to dream about in the web.

After seeing all these beautiful landscapes, awesome interiors, blue pools and the wide sea, I feel terribly tired and really ready for a holiday! Destination Pulia, of course!

Still - let's start this week cheerfully!

Squint Limited

Lisa Whatmough

"Squint is a unique, independent design company which produces and retails premium quality, bespoke, hand-crafted exuberant furniture and home accessories.

Squint was the creation of Lisa Whatmough, who through her passion for textiles and with a very British design sensibility has created a world of richly decorative home wares which are a fusion of fashion and the decorative Arts, each UK made item becoming a piece of contemporary art work. Lisa imbues Squint with her own style and has created a clear visual signature mixing ages and social and artistic heritages to create her own conceptual vision of how we live today and sells internationally in some of the worlds top design and fashion stores."

I admire those happy, artful furniture by Lisa Whatmough. Long time ago I painted with my boys chairs in a similar style. Unfortunately we haven't go them anymore. But we would have some chairs left... if you would like to see more of this fiesta of colors look

Geranium market in Berne

bought some of the pink ones

and some of these

Bernese woman in traditional dress

Poor,  patient guy...

This is for Anna from A taste of Italy

Still patient...

The market takes place in front of the Parliament

After all that hustle and bustle relaxing with coffee and  newspaper...

When you buy flowers at the market they are delivered to your house free of charge

and when I got home they were already waiting for me

Some aperitif with my lover in the evening sun
with tomato bruschette and homemade ricotta
Yesterday the traditional Geranium market in Berne took place.
I was there very early in the morning before the hustle and bustle.
Geraniums are not my favorite flowers but nowadays they come in such nice colors that I bought some.

Here summer has hit - temperatures predicted for today: 28° C.
Last Monday it was snowing and I was wearing my winter coat...
it seems that these days one has to be capable of adapting...
