The coast line of Cinque Terre |
Some Italianita to start the day with! This is Riomaggiore - one of the five villages of Cinque Terre.
We had a nice rest at the sea and that's when I took these pictures for you!
Still dreaming and smelling the salty air...

This area was almost destroyed by severe floods, during the Winter. Lots of people lost their homes and businesses. You can see the effects of the floods on some of the buildings. The people of Liguria managed to somehow, in a very short time, to repair as much of the damage, as possible, as tourism is the main resource in the area.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to the people of Le Cinque Terre and well done!
Lovely images, Christa! I love the old buildings!

ReplyDeleteDear Christa - these shots of Le Cinque Terre are lovely. How artistic are the people of Italy to make what could be boring high rise apartments look so attractive wearing their pretty pastel colours.
