Women only...

Yesterday the 27th women's run took place in Berne. It is the only run in Switzerland which is for women only. The start is just up the road and we were lucky watching those fit and brave ladies (15'000 participants) from the balcony while having our morning coffee and wearing our pyjamas.

Somewhere I read the following citation:

"Sport has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world".

Ladies only...

Every year the Swiss running event for women takes place in Berne. It exists since 1987 and every year more females participate. Last Sunday 14000 women (from the top athlete to the amateur) were either running, walking or Nordic walking. It is said to be the largest Women's sporting event in Switzerland.

As you can see it is also color- and cheerful celebration! It is not about winning but all about participating and having fun.  In some cases it is also...

Hard day...

Yesterday was such a hard day I...

 ..had to the shopping...

... the laundry...

... the ironing...

...the cleaning....

... the cooking

... had to call my mum...

... after all that I definitely needed some wine...

... then I fell into bed...

... what would the world do without women? We are so incredibly strong and fantastic!
