My younger son is doing some research at school and has my camera with him the whole day. So no chance to take any pictures at the moment!

He is the best...

I do not mean Michael Bublé - I mean hubby! He read about the new CD of Michael Bublé and as he knows how much I love Christmas music he rushed to the shop and came back with it! I listened to it nearly all Sunday long. It adds to that special atmosphere. Listen to the You Tube sample and get carried away into X-mas wonderland as well!

I just returned home from a walk through the old town of Berne. 

The atmosphere is really Christmassy so I I think I should get started as well.

Riccardo Primo...

As I told you in my yesterdays's post we will have friends for dinner tonight... let me tell you... I love to listen to classical music during dinner and I very much favor the music written by George Frideric Händel. I offer you to listen to the aria  ''Quando non vede la cara madre" (Opera Riccardo Primo). It is soooo heartopening. 

It will also accompany us during our evening with our friends tonight.

Open your ears, your eyes - simply all your senses to beauty and your soul will start to sing! I promise!

September morn...

It's a tradition of mine to listen to this song each September 1st.  When Neil Diamond sings about September morn with his unique voice I see colored trees, leaves falling, befogged landscapes, pumpkins in all shapes and colors, stews, candles, me wearing knitted socks, steaming tea  - all those things which mean autumn! A season I absolutely adore and love!

In spite of all this I hope that we will have some more warm late summer days!

I was just doing the dishes after a funny evening with my friend Luana when they played this song on the radio. It always takes me back to my youth... 

and I would like to share it with you. 

I hope you like it just as I do.

My brother and his wife are visiting us today and we are planning a swim in river Aare. 

Hopefully I can show you some pictures of our fun day tomorrow.

By the way my younger son wants to take dancing lessons...
and he has already found a girl who wants to be his dancing partner... I am happy...

Today we are going to an exhibition in Basle. Afterwards we are invited to a friends house.
She is an artist and if she allows I will take some pictures of her art
and show it to yo in one of my next posts.

This is my life...

It's my birthday today! I adore Shirley Bassey, she is so divine! Her song expresses my feelings today!
I will celebrate with my men (husband and two sons) this evening and enjoy a delicious dinner! 

Tomorrow I will take off for... well... I'll tell  in my next post!
