Pansy blue socks

I do not usually promote items on my blog BUT I just discovered these lovely socks from Avoca.

The happy and jolly and colorful design will remind it's wearer all winter long that brighter and warmer days are ahead!

Küchenladen...

One of Berne's paradises is the Küchenladen.

Essentials and also not so absolutely essential items for the kitchen are being sold here -

BUT I assure you the articles are always beautiful and lovely and eye-catching,

so that when you are in the store, you believe that all their things are must-haves...

My photos show what was on display yesterday before entering the shop.

I found it so cheerful and mood-lifting that I wanted you to profit as well.

I am a bit lost without my computer (it's still in the computer hospital) as all my photos are saved on there. Today though I found some pictures of water lilies taken during our last visit to Beyeler Museum in Riehen, Basle. These lilies refer to a large tableau of Monet hanging in the museum.

Our friend Ina told us, that the flowers bloomed in white when the museum opened.

As time went by, they changed color and now they are pink.

Attention au chien

Our friends Ina and Toiy own a fabulous garden house on a garden plot on the border Switzerland/Germany..

Since a very long time they have this little toy dog. I think it does not even have a name.

However, as a little boy our younger son was fascinated and scared by it, as it was leashed like a big and dangerous dog and on top there was this sign "Attention au chien" (French) which means "Beware of dog".

Upon our return home he would do the same with his plushies.

Up to this day he has not forgotten about it and we laugh and joke about it.

Visiting Ina and Toni in June we all remembered this story and thought it would be worth a post.

So here you go! Meet that little dog! The painting on the door was done by Ina - it is still beautiful after all these years.

I hope you are spending this day happy and smiling with your beloved ones.

PS. My computer broke down yesterday - it was impossible to restart it and it has to go to the doctor - keep your fingers crossed that he can fix it! Presently I am using my son's - he was not happy but generous enough...
