Finally I managed to make my this year's Hydrangea wreath...

In the park nearby are loads of them.
observe them from tiny in spring until they are in that siren red telling me to come and take some home...

Then I let them dry for about a week.

After that they are ready to become a wreath and last till next spring
when the tiny ones appear again in the park...

Now it is hanging on our apartment door.  Pleasing me every day!

Last warm day - I guess...

Hubby and I made a wonderful walk today - it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling... the sun shone, the landscape was perfect, the mood happy and positive! I photographed this bench and the geraniums on the way. From tomorrow on the weather is supposed to be miserable and rainy and the temperatures much colder - maybe it will not be that warm anymore until next spring and therefore today will have a special place in my heart.

I hope life is embracing you warmly too!

Greetings from my home

The physalis and the corncobs are from my son's garden, the pumpkins are from our garden,
the silver platter is a present from our friend Sibu

Hydrangeas from my son's garden, the furniture from my parents -
I painted it blue but I feel like changing the color again.... the tassel is homemade too....
by the way I love open books...  I have seen it at my sister in law and think it is a great idea.

... the pumpkin is a lovely present from Manuela from Lilla Svalan. She is so incredibly creative!

Thanks so much for visiting - you make me happy!

Pansy blue socks

I do not usually promote items on my blog BUT I just discovered these lovely socks from Avoca.
The happy and jolly and colorful design will remind it's wearer all winter long that brighter and warmer days are ahead!
In case you are interested in ordering please check out Avoca's website.
I think they also make a great Christmas gift because who is not a fan of pansies?

Of course you can also tango with them!

Spray of flowers

On the way home from shopping I picked these flowers on the roadside.
Don't they cut a fine figure on our table?

I hope your start into June is fab and happy!

A balcony before thunderstorm...

This afternoon we had a bit of sun but within
a few minutes the sky darkened and it started to pour with rain!

Just before I had taken these photos! I am so proud of my tulips! I think they look awesome...

The basket with the basil was a present from our dear friend Maja - just what I love!

Meanwhile it stopped raining and I am hoping for some sun tomorrow...
 after all hope dies last...

A wonderful evening...

... unfortunately without photos! I wanted to take pics of the menu but while talking, discussing and listening and laughing I forgot all about it!
Just a shot of the aperitif and a few photos of dessert.
I shall show you the dessert pics tomorrow and reveal the recipe too!

I hope you are in the sunshine - here it is a foggy, dreary Saturday but I am smiling anyway!

Vernal flowers

Together with five friends my son is renting a garden. It is the first spring they are trying out their gardening skills. About two weeks ago he brought home some tulip bulbs. They had tiny leaves  and looked rather weak. I put them in a vase but did not expect them to bloom. As you can see from the photo I was proofed wrong: Yesterday - just in time for spring - two wonderfully red flowers appeared and greeted me!

I am confident: Even if the weather does not look like it -

SPRING IS ON IT'S WAY!

Two minutes...

ago I saved my pansies from being completely and utterly covered with snow...

and in two minutes that is what I will do...

This was a shy comeback. Thanks for all your e-mails and comments. I had run out of steam for posting and blogging or anything to do with computers! Slowly it comes back though!

Enjoy your evening (but please not with ironing!).

For so long...

I have not been posting. There is so much going on... I hardly find the time to sit at the computer...
Did not check my mails, comments, stats nor did I visit your blogs... actually I am missing it...

Here some greetings from my autumn balcony.
Today we are celebrating our son's 18th birthday and are expecting 15 guests!

A wonderful Sunday to you all!

Two presents which look like one

Yesterday I received these hydrangeas from my mother-in-law and
also yesterday, I received this antique soup bowl from my brother.

These two presents were given to me separately but they match so well -
I ask myself whether they had arranged it...

However, I just LOVE it!
