A wonderful day with guests and A taste of Italy part 4

Aperitif

Baby carrots

Easter roast (in between we had a spring salad but I forgot to take a pic)

The recipe for the this delicious cake called Ciambella alla Ricotta e Arancia comes from Anna (A taste of Italy). If you want to feel like in heaven - then TRY it!

We had a cheerful day with our Mums visiting us from Lucerne. I hope you had a jolly day as well!

Last but not least: I received a Liebster Blog Award from Sarah from Down by the Sea (worth visiting!) for which I thank  her very much! I would like to dedicate it to all bloggers - bringing me their world and ideas closer and being such wonderful inspirations to me day by day. THANK YOU ALL!

  5. Hi Christa! Your house looks gorgeous and so does your version of my ciambella. I see you followed my advice and put plenty of ricotta filling in your cake. It looks yummy!

Everything looks just fantastic! You are such a happy, sunny person! Lovely!

We had a good day, too. I cooked lamb, peas, fresh artichokes, and we had our typical Easter antipasto of salami, eggs and orange, with a selection of "bits."

Today is a grey day and I have a lot of writing to catch up on, so I'm not happy! In fact, I'm very grumpy!

    BMH as always!

  6. Christa, the food and the cake looks amazing. I've bookmarked the recipe to try but will have to try it when my daughter comes home for a visit, because the rest of my extended family does not like cheese, can you imagine that! Your trip to Paris looked wonderful, have not been there yet so I enjoyed seeing your photos. Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great week, Laura
