Pannacotta with pears...

Had this beautiful, delicious and easy to make autumn dessert yesterday. A sin but worth every calorie. Here comes the recipe:

4 pears
6 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp gingerbread spice mix
5 dl full-fat cream
1 vanilla pod
4 gelatine leaves

Wash pears, peel, core, cut in slices. Add to pan together with 2 tbsp sugar, spices and a little bit of water. Let simmer for a few minutes. Pears should be soft but not fall apart.
Add the cream to another pan together with 4 tbsp of sugar. Cut vanilla pod in halve, scrape out the seeds and add them and  the pod to the cream and sugar. Bring to the boil, turn off the heat and let stand for a bout 15 minutes. Then remove the pod and reboil. Add the gelatine leaves (which you have soaked in cold water before) and stir until they have completely dissolved.
Add the pear slices into small jars and fill up with the vanilla cream.
Let stand in the fridge for at least 3 hours. Sprinkle with cinnamon and garnish with fresh pear slices before serving.

How about that? Try it out and let me know how it tasted.

Happy cooking!
