Afternoon coffee with hazelnut croissants and little secrets

Yesterday my son and I were celebrating Monday! I had baked little croissants with a sweet hazelnut filling. Accompanied with coffee a dream! We were chatting about this and that. I like these quiet moments when little secrets are exchanged and when time does not matter. By the way the cute cups and the small jug are a present from my dear friend Maja. *Smile* The tray is from Ikea.

Every day is a day to celebrate for it is unique and will never come back!

  2. Hello Christa:
What a lovely idea to spend time with your son over coffee on a Monday, such a potentially dismal day. Your hazelnut croissants look absolutely delicious and we are sure tasted wonderful with the coffee.

Hoping your week goes as well as its start!!

  4. Hi Christa! It all looks so delicious! I love croissants, too, but they are so calorific! And you mention a delicious hazelnut filling! Wow! I had nut filled croissants in Paros, a Greek Island and loved them! In fact, I can say that nuts are my guilty pleasure! For Christmas I will make my mum's Paste di mandorla (almond cakes- recipe already in my blog! Very easy!) with no flour, just ground almonds, sugar and some limoncello, or lemon peel.
We are going to Italy during the first week in December, just for a few days. I will buy Sorrento lemons and Spirit (can't get it here!) and will make my mum's Limoncello. Lethal... but nice! Can't wait to buy "goodies!"

    CIAO, A PRESTO!
