Make your own...

Every morning (even on Sunday) I prepare a muesli with fruits and yogurt for all members of the family and as many mixtures from the shop contain a lot of sugar and fat I mix our own.
The recipe is as follows:

300 g small oat flakes
300 g big oat flakes
100 g spelt flakes
100 g linseeds or and any other seeds
200 g mixture of nuts, chopped
100 g cranberries
100 g sultanas
200 g mixture of dried fruits or just one kind (apple, apricots etc.), chopped
Apple juice or any other juice

Mix the flakes, seeds, fruits in a bowl. Add some apple juice wetting mixture but not soaking it. Spread on a baking plate, put in the preheated oven at 150° C for about 45 minutes or until lightly browned and crunchy, turning the mixture every 10 minutes or so. Take out of the oven and let cool. Store in an airtight container.

That's how easy it is to have a wholesome start into a happy day!

  3. It looks delicious, Christa! I just have a little problem: I am unable to keep nuts in the house for longer than five minutes, as I love them so much and can't stop eating them! If I buy muesli I "fish" all the nuts out and eat them! What can I do?

I love your truly healthy recipe!

    HAVE A GOOD DAY!
