Wholesome snacking

Here raspberries are not really in season yet. In the shop the vibrant red caught my eye though and made my mouth watering so they came home with me. I ate them like a little girl (I had a red tongue and the area around my mouth was red too) but before I managed to take a photo for you. At least it was a wholesome snack! Good luck (or bad luck?) I had no tub of crème fraîche in the house...

I never seem to get enough...

My son loves them so much he doesn't care if his mouth gets red.

  3. Christa... good morning! I love crème fraîche and prefer it to cream, though I try not to eat too much of it, as it is fattening, unfortunately. But it's so delicious! I also love soured cream, which goes well with dishes like goulash and, in fact, Mexican food.

    I'm getting hungry, now!

Raspberries are deliciously fragrant, aren'they? We never had them in my (the hottest) part of Italy, but they are plentiful in Northern Europe. In Germany, we picked wild raspberries with Hermann. They were tiny and so delicious! I have wild strawberries in my garden, as well as cultivated ones (very cute and so sweet!)and I've just decided I'll buy some raspberry canes, by the end of this week! You have inspired me to grow raspberries, like we used to at the old house.

I love your photos, Christa! You must be proud of your lovely new camera!

    HAVE A GOOD DAY!

  5. I love rashberries. We always visit a farm where we can pick up rashberries and strawberries for a very cheap price. We do that every summer with the kids and we all enjoy it all very much. It's been a while I have visited you ( my break was a bit longer that I first though so...) Hope everything is good and summer will be warm and wonderful at your end : )
