We had these delicious organic trouts tonight.
We stuffed them with fresh dill, flat leave parsley, cream cheese, garlic, pepper and salt.
After stuffing we wrapped them with bacon slices and put them in the oven at 220° C for about 30 minutes. In the meantime we made a sauce with shallots, white wine and vegetable stock and poured it over the fish. After further 10 minutes the trouts were ready to eat:
With boiled potatoes and fresh salad a wonderful meal!
Leftovers....
A staycation leaves plenty of time for cooking which is beautiful!

I love trout as long as I do not have to look at its face. Yummy recipe. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful, Christa! I think the filling and the bacon probably add a different dimension to the fish. I'm sure it tasted delicious!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy the week-end, Betty
I love trout but only with the heads off! The fish that everyone eats here is whitefish, usual caught that day in Lake Michigan. It is a similar flavor to trout only a little milder. Your presentation was beautiful even with the heads on. PS. Christmas light and decorations have been in the stores here for a couple of weeks, annoying. Thanks for stopping by, Laura

a long while!!!
Hope that you are having a good week and that your family are well.
